NZAA DARTSAR Base Open 11/11/2007

Hello Cyber Pilots from Werner Gillespie

The first bit of 2009 has been fairly quiet on the DART/SAR front.   We have added the continuously running Zimbabwe mission and flew into the Gaza area whilst the Isreali/Palestinian conflict was in full swing.   We have helped Italy after the terrible earthquake that killed many people and inflicted serious damage to properties, including destroying the old part of Italy not built to modern day standards to withstand quakes.   We also flew a memorial flight for the crew that tragically died when a FedEx MD-11 crashed on landing at Narita airport in Tokyo.  

DART pilots are reminded (and indeed requested) to notify me of any event that they feel might need our assistance so that we can help those in need of support.   Thanks for your involvement in DART/SAR!

The role of flying for Cyber Air DARTSAR is both challenging and interesting.

Pilots are welcome to be included in the email notification list and fly the Missions.

With Global Warming happening I will bet that we're gonna be busy.
